When Margaret Louise [Steele] Blackford was born on July 12, 1943, her father, George, was 35, and her mother, Margit, was 36. She went to SIU where she met and married Earl Eugene Blackford on November 3, 1962, in Jackson, Missouri. They have four children (Curt, Bret, Kim, Booi). She has two sisters (Carol, Ginger).
